Our Commitment To Your Child’s Safety
Welcome to Fox in a Box! We want your family’s adventure to be fun, exciting, and, above all, safe. As a Child Safe Organisation, we go beyond standard fun – we prioritise your child’s wellbeing in everything we do by following the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations.
1. Our “Safety First” Promise
- The Exit is Always Open: We never truly lock children in. Every locked room is equipped with an Emergency Release Button. If a child feels overwhelmed, they can leave instantly.
- Constant Monitoring: Our Game Masters are trained “Safety Heroes.” They monitor every game via CCTV and audio to ensure everyone is having a positive experience.
2. Our Professional Team
- Vetted & Screened: Every staff member holds a current, state-verified Working with Children Check where legislation requires:
- QLD: Valid Blue Card
- SA: Valid WWCC verified through the DHS Screening Unit.
- WA: Exemption Applies (WWC Check: Position Assessment Record).
- Trained for Action: Our team is trained to recognise distress and follow a formal incident response procedure if any safety concern arises.
3. Cultural Safety & Inclusion
We celebrate diversity. We are committed to providing a Culturally Safe environment where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, and children from all backgrounds, feel respected and welcome.
4. How You Can Help
- Tell Us: If your child has specific needs (claustrophobia, sensory sensitivities, or medical conditions), please let our Game Master know before the game starts.
- Speak Up: If you see something that doesn’t feel right, please tell our Manager immediately. We have a child-focused complaints process and take all feedback seriously.
